Doulos horns three times signalling take off. then with the help of two tug boats Doulos was tugged out of the pier
then doulos start turning
and she did a 180 degree turnthen the tug boat in front start guiding the ship by spraying a jet of water into the airand doulos is leaving...leaving...
going far...

and far

Doulos....again

today i passed by Geelong on my way back.

After 7 years, finally i get to see Doulos again. well, people said 7 is God's favourite number and a lot of things in bible is described in 7. well, i am not sure in my case this 7 will mean anything. but getting to see the ship again, it does bring back a lot of my memory. i never served onboard before, but certainly i got a lot of passion on this ship. it is this ship who start building my dream on missionary works, and it is this ship who reaffirm my faith when i left God 8 years ago, and it is this ship who let me see prayer being answered, and it is this ship who let me graced with special friendship.

MV Doulos next to smorgy in GeelongMV Doulos up close
and lastly, myself.
So MV Doulos will be decommisonised in 2010, so this will be her last visit to Australia. Grab the chance to visit her then...

Work in Lethbridge

Today, i spent a day outside at job site in Lethbridge. For those who dont know where lethbridge is, lethbridge is about 28km from Geelong. Basically the work is about doing resheeting on the road there...
and the grader grading the pavements...
and the Truck and Dog delivering the rocks...
and lastly, myself........
Nice weather today actually. Good to be outside office. anyway, went out 5am, and return home only 6.30pm, long hour, long travel, and .........tired...

Hamilton

Yesterday I needed to go down to Hamilton to reconciliate a job there. Hamilton, I knew who Lewis Hamilton is, but had no idea where this place is nor even heard of the place before. So this is another good thing of my job, you get to go rural area pretty often, and get to know new places.

The place is about 180Km from Ballarat, so quite a long drive actually...
and all the way, sometimes you can hardly see anyone, or even car on the road, and what you see most, are these sheeps....

Just before the Hamilton town is this town called Dunkeld. Well I am not quite sure what is she famous for, but I guess she is unique because she got two big mountains behind her... and even her tourist brochure are promoting the mountain as the coverpage!
so this is one of them...
and the other one... i can assure you they look so much better and huge in real compared to the photos that i took. And they are the tallest among Grampian Ranges.
And on the town i spotted these two houses, arent they look like a toy? and not far away there is one grarden where someone trimmed their trees to these gigantic shapes. again, the real things look much bigger than what it shows in the pictures...
and along the way to Dunkeld, i passed by a small town, forgot the name already, however they got this place called fireworld, which basically is a museum about fire. Fire as a museum theme, quite unusual huh?
it was a long day, and tiring....

quad

the headlines for many major newspapers today is this quad burger from hungry jacks, which got 4 beef patties, 4 cheese, 2 rashes bacon and 2 pieces of sugared bun. which give about 70 sth g of fat, and over 1100KJ in energy....which is the recommended intake for a woman in a day!
good news is, i got this topic posted up here much earlier than these major newspapers. another reason why you should read my blog....

have a nice day

Koala

Somewhere not very fr away from my worksite at the moment, there is this sign saying Koala ahead. so, my instinct told me to slow down and try to spot one along the road but in the end i found none...
that reminded me of Mount Lofty in Adelaide, on the old route uphill, if you look carefully, you actually can spot a koala pretty easily, and thats the only spot in australia so far that i can actually see a wild koala on trees... so, yeah, love our Koala....

Samsung A55

This is the phone i bought when i was still studying in Adelaide. Recently because my PDA phone was seriously hospitalised, and therefore this phone got the chance to surface up again. This phone, is not colourscreened, no camera, no big storage capacity, can only store 21 sms, no mms, it is in face a dinosaur in the world today. anyway, the good thing is, you still can call out, you still can receive, you still can sms despite the limited storage. and the main reason i bought this phone last time is that, its small enough in size.....
so today let us ponder, with so many features in phones nowadays, do we really really need all those features? or our life could be simpler actually? phone, meant to be a phone....

bra

Today as i drove home from work i came across this Ads on Flinders Street....
Reversible bra, i am not bra expert but why bra need to be reversible? so you can reverse it and cut your bra laundry by half? probably... water saving...

that reminds me of a tale from a singaporean mate who went through their compulsory national service. During a war simulation, they have to carry their backpack and travel dunno how many kilometres so they have to cut down their backpack content. in the end, each undies will be equal to 4 days of use, by reversing it inside out, and front to back. amazing survival story isnt it?

have a nice day...

Quad Stacker

Today, i had Hungry Jack as my breakfast and lunch. For those in Malaysia who dont know what Hungry jack is, HJ is actually the Burger King in Malaysia. okie, back to the point, apparently they rolled out the new menu again.... STACKERS!

you can have double as minimum, then tripple, and QUAD! My Goodness Quad steaks in a burger, what a first in Australia......

Welcome to the World's Fattest Nation......
